Cigarette Addiction Broken

Last week I received prayer to be set free from smoking cigarettes. I felt heat in my lungs, like something was bubbling in there. I haven't smoked a cigarette since and all desire is gone with no withdrawl at all. Thank you so very much Lord - I couldn't have done it without You!

Kidney Stones Gone!

I had one procedure where the doctor blasted some kidney stones. One large 9 mm stone remained. My ureter was blocked and I had to have a tube put in my kidney which drained into a bag. I received prayer after church service for the remaining kidney stones to be gone. When the surgeon went in a second time to blast the remaining stones, he couldn't find any stones or any blockage! The Lord had crushed them into powder so I didn't even notice they were coming out. Thank You, Lord!

Hard of Hearing NO Longer!

Little 3 year old Ruby was hard of hearing. She was tested and it was determined she needed to see a specialist to have tubes inserted in her ears. Before church one Sunday, she was prayed over by John. Then in Sunday school, John's son Kolya prayed for her. When the Sunday School came into the main church meeting to sing a song, Ruby put her hands over her ears because the music was too loud! When they went to the specialist appointment, the doctor looked in her ears and exclaimed, "There is nothing wrong with these ears!" Praise God for healing Ruby's ears!

Stubborn Open Wound on Ankle Healed

For well over a year, I had a problem with an open sore on my right ankle. Due to an injury years ago, the ankle was always sensitive. This time the healing of the sore, coupled with a circulation problem, was at a standstill. Doctors prescribed medication and care for the leg. At times the area would improve, then degenerate. I medicated and wrapped daily, almost to the point of complacency.

One night while reading the Bible, a scripture stood out: Jn 16:23-24 "...my Father will give you whatever you ask IN MY NAME. Until now you have not asked ... ". From that moment on, I asked for healing in the name of Jesus and praised Him. The next night was a Thursday Life Group meeting. John asked about my right ankle before I said a word. When he prayed, a warm sensation came over the affected area. Later he confided that he saw a glowing light over my ankle. From that time on, healing of the open sore was complete in less than a week and circulation in the leg restored. My daily Praise continues and Faith increases.

Throat Cancer Gone!

Nicholai was battling throat cancer. He was walking home from his church past The Lighthouse. He stopped in and asked for prayer. God met him powerfully. The next exam by the doctors showed the throat cancer to be completely gone. Now Nicholai carries a paper with him of two pictures - the top picture shows his cancerous throat, the bottom picture shows his now normal throat with no cancer!

Migraine Headache Leaves Instantaneously

At a recent service at the Redwood Gospel Mission, John had a word of knowledge about God wanting to heal a migraine headache. One man raised his hand and John prayed for him from the front.

Pastor Roy looked at the man and said "It's gone, isn't it?"

The man said "There was a kind of crackling noise and then the pain left."

A number of other people were also healed that night.

Long Term Shoulder Injury Miraculously Healed

Debbie had an injury to her shoulder and was in continual pain. On New Year's Eve she attended the Combined Church Meeting at Vertical Call. There was a word of knowledge for pain in the shoulder. Debbie received prayer from a woman and her arm began feeling hot and was jerking around. She had so much energy, she felt like she could run laps. The next morning, her arm had a different sensation - like soreness from a work out. By noon, all the pain was gone and has been gone since! Thank you God! God is good!

Back Healed at Redwood Gospel Mission

During one of our team visits to the Redwood Gospel Mission, a man responded to a word of knowledge regarding a lower back pain as a result of a work injury. He mentioned that he had been on disability for a long time. After a short prayer, he said that he felt like running out the door but he didn't want to miss his meal. He went to his walker at the side of the room, got something out of it, and then went to the meal line bouncing up and down and twisting around, apparently testing out his pain free back. He walked in with a walker, then felt he could run! God is amazing!

Chipped Tooth Restored

I was walking with my 13 year old daughter and she mentioned to me "you know Dad, God is good". When I asked her why she said this she answered "because God filled in my tooth". A few days before she was using her teeth to adjust some metal jewelry, heard a crack, saw some white chips, then felt and saw a "ditch" in her bottom front tooth. She received prayer one Sunday after church and that evening noticed that her "ditch" was filled in! She couldn't feel or see anything wrong. God is good!

Foot Grows!

My son had one foot with shoe size four and the other foot size five. You could see the size difference and feel the difference at the toe of his shoes. He was not round after church so I asked one of the prayer team members to lift him up in prayer. A couple of weeks later I noticed that both his feet were identical in size! Thank you Lord!

"No Club Feet"

One of our members who was pregnant went in for a sonagram. The doctor told Repeka her baby girl had club feet. He went on to explain the medical procedures that would be needed to correct this deformity. Many Lighthouse people began praying for Repeka and her baby. Some of the sisters laid hands on her abdomen and prayed for the baby's feet to be healed in the Name of Jesus. She delivered the baby recently. The doctor was astounded when he saw her feet and exclaimed, "These feet are perfectly normal!"

Healing of an Artery

Gus was doubled over in pain. His wife rushed him to the hospital. A CT scan revealed an aneurysm on the aorta in the stomach area and leakage in the aorta near the heart. The doctors decided to give him a helicopter ride to Stanford. There the doctors did another CT scan on him and the aneurysm was still there. They didn't want to do surgery so they were waiting and seeing. Many people prayed for Gus and several pastors went to Sanford and laid hands on him with prayer. Another CT scan was done - the aneurysm was gone! In one week he was out of the hospital without surgery and without an aneurysm!

God is on the move!

Sunday 4/25, was an awesome day of testimonies and preaching. Afterward, God began doing healings. Annie, a member of The Lighthouse, was born with a club foot. She had suffered with pain most of her life. Sunday, God grew out her leg to match the other one, the pain left and she is completely healed!

On Sunday 4/18, The Lighthouse prayed in agreement as a congregation for Haile, a four year old who is battling leukemia. She was having life threatening reactions to the blood transfusions. Within a few days, she was doing much better and on 4/28 she was released from the hospital and allowed to go home for several days until the next round of chemotherapy.

A woman who had suffered with foot pain received complete relief.

Female Problems Solved

About one month ago, a female member of The Lighthouse had an ultrasound which showed cysts on her left ovary. When she received prayer recently, she felt a heat all over her body that lasted for over a day. Last week when she had a second ultrasound, the cysts were gone!

A pregnant woman named Betsy had a blood test. The doctors believed she had leukemia. Many people began praying for her. God moved and the second blood test showed no abnormalities!

Shoulders Healed

On Sunday 4/18, two people were healed. One woman had a surgery for a frozen shoulder and torn rotator cuff. She was unable to raise her hand above her head. After prayer and God healing her, she was able to raise her hand well over her head.

A man had injured his shoulder lifting weights. He had been in pain for a month. After prayer, God removed the pain and he was able to move the arm freely.

Knee Injury Healed

I got a call for help from my twelve year old daughter and I could tell in her voice that she was hurt. When I got to her, she was on the ground crying next to a tree with several of her friends standing around wondering what to do. An adult who also came said “you need to take your daughter to the emergency room”. She had fallen out of the tree and apparently twisted her leg on a branch on the way down. She said that she heard a sound like crushing eggshells come from her knee and that it hurt too much to stand up or walk on it.

I propped her up on my shoulder and she hopped on one leg to our home, all the while she was crying how much it hurt. I put a bag of ice on her knee, since it looked like it was swelling up, said a quick prayer for her knee, and went back to the freezer for more ice thinking about the logistics of getting her to the emergency room.

While at the freezer, she came running past the kitchen to the back door saying that her friends were still waiting for her at the tree and that she needed to get back to them. This caught me by surprise since a few seconds ago I was wondering about the quickest way to get her to the emergency room and now she wanted to run back to the same tree that she just fell out of. Miracles can be confusing! I reminded her that she needed to thank Jesus for healing her so quickly, we thanked Him, and out she ran

Bone Cancer Gone

One of our church members, Mary H., has been praying for her friend Sarah. In September 2009, Sarah was diagnosed with bone cancer. After prayers over the phone, Sarah had another scan done which showed no cancer! The doctors did a second scan to be sure! Praise God!

Skin growth disappears

Jeff has had skin problems in the past and the dermatologist removed pre-cancerous growths. When another spot began to develop on his face, he knew where it was headed. After receiving prayer, the spot disappeared and is now clear.

Lumps gone!

Recently two of the women in our church had abnormal mammograms. They received prayer. Each of them experienced peace as they waited for the second screening. We thank God that both second tests showed no abnormalities.

Two Backs Healed by the Power of God

Jeff had pain in his lower back for about a month. One Sunday after church, a group prayed for him calling on the name of Jesus. The next week he reported total freedom from pain and his back normal again! Heidi also received prayer for pain in her lower back. The next day it was normal again.

Ears and Eyes

Katie's ear was plugged and she was unable to hear clearly. After receiving prayer, her ear began to clear. After more prayer, God completely opened her ear and she could hear normally.

Virginia's eye was very red and irritated from a cold. She received prayer and the redness began to lighten up. Several days later, God has completely healed her eye and it feels normal again.

New Healing Reports from Recent Meetings

May 29th through June 1st saw some exciting healings by the hand of God. Sandy had suffered with pain from rheumatoid arthritis and in her kidneys. After prayer, the pain was gone. The next day she testified she had a full night’s rest (the first in a long time) and was still without pain.

Sarah was suffering from a number of problems as a result of several life threatening diseases and a bad car wreck years ago. At times she would be partially paralyzed and unable to get out of bed on her own. She also suffered from migraines, ringing in her ears, back pain and sensitivity to light. When she received prayer, she experienced the power of the Holy Spirit touch her body. She said she felt her back popping. Immediately she felt relief from her back pain, she was able to see better, the ringing in her ears stopped, the migraine stopped and she generally felt well for the first time in years. We are still awaiting the results from her blood test to see if some of her other conditions have been healed.

Young Abby had kidneys that were failing. She was scheduled for a transplant. As she was being prayed for, she felt heat and popping and movement. She believes she received a healing from God. We await the doctor’s report and are believing for a healing and a miracle!!

A first time visitor had foot problems for many years, the last episode having started 3 months ago. It was painful for her to walk. After responding to an invitation given by the speaker and walking up to the front of the room, her pain was completely gone. She was able to stomp her feet and jump without pain. The next day, she remained pain-free.

Sue’s neck was healed, the pain and stiffness gone.

Hans had pain from a scar as a result of a surgery on his lung. God healed him and all the pain is gone!

A urinary infection healed

In Spring 2004, Jim had a cardiac condition and a urinary tract infection. All previous attempts by the doctor at trying to heal the urinary tract infection had failed. At a home group meeting, Jim received prayer, the laying on of hands and Scriptures prayed over him. Sickness was rebuked and healing was commanded in the Name of Jesus. Healing occurred. The doctors confirmed the infection was gone. The heart status was measurably better. Praise God for this miracle!

A heart condition healed

In Spring 2004, Mary C's uncle had been diagnosed with a cardiac condition and was scheduled for surgery the next week. She brought him to a home group meeting where he received prayer and was anointed with oil. When he went in for the pre-procedure appointment, his heart was deemed to be fine and the procedure was cancelled. God had wonderfully touched him. Praise the Lord!

Lymphoma healed

In March 2003, Mary had been diagnosed with lymphoma. She received prayer, laying on of hands and anointing with oil on several occasions. Literally thousands of people around the world (praise God for email) prayed for her recovery. We were blessed when many people sent cards, flowers, donations, made visits and prayed, prayed, prayed. The request was that medical treatments of chemotherapy and radiation would be maximized in effectivenesss and minimized in side effects. Although it was a long period, over a few months and at times very scary and trying, God was faithful. She hand no intese sickness or vomiting!!! Her weight was maintained. Praise God!

The first scan following the treatments showed the cancer was gone but there was a malignant liquid called "plural effusion" in her lungs. After church, a number of leaders prayed for her with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. Scriptures were proclaimed over her as well. Several days later, a new scan revealed no fluid in the lungs. The attending physican asked what we had done. He was surprised the lungs were clear! God is so faithful! Mary was wonderfully healed.

Prostate cancer gone

Ron informed the Lighthouse Church leadership he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was encouraged to receive prayer by Pastor Slater. During the Sunday morning service, the entire congregation prayed for his healing as Pastor Slater anointed him with oil and laid hands on him. The following Sunday Ron testified to the congregation. At his next doctor's visit, the doctor was baffled because they couldn't find any cancer and said he required no treatment. All praise be to God! (February 2003)

A growth disappears

A young sister had an agrevated and inflamed growth on her breast. After the service, several people prayed for her. The following Sunday, she testified the growth had drained and dissolved. Praise the Lord! 1996

A tumor disappears

I have been on a miraculous healing journey and would like to honor and acknowledge the congregation and the kind beautiful instruments of God at the Lighthouse in Santa Rosa, CA, for being part of the journey!

In late April 2006, I had an ultrasound along with a biopsy done at Santa Rosa's Women's Breast Center on what I assumed was just an infection or at the very most, a benign toumor. the tumor was about 3 cm wide and deeply imbedded in the soft tissue muscle of my right pectoralis muscle. it was extrememely painful! I was unable to make use of my complete right arm and hand! On June 10th I received the pathologist report stating I had a "desmoid tumor" which had the characteristics of an aggressive cancer called Fibromatosis.

On June 12th, I attended a meeting at the Lighthouse with David Hertzog ministering. I received prayer through the laying on of hands. I still remember their kind faces. The pain from the tumor was greatly reduced. I continued in prayer.

On June 22nd, I went to the Sonoma Valley Hospital with a friend who is an LVN. She demanded an ultrasound before the surgery. The same nurse who had performed the first ultrasound was called upon to do the second one. She was amazed at the reduction of size of the tumor and called the surgeon. The surgery was cancelled and I was asked to return to 2 months to keep a watch on it!

I give glory to God for my healing!

Even in the small things

Michelle - There was a time when I believed that some things were not worth wasting God’s time. God of course has occasionally shown me otherwise. A couple weeks ago I experienced one of those occasions. I was going on day three of being really sick, body aches, fever, sore throat, nausea, headache, the whole bit. Unfortunately, this third day was my son’s seventh birthday. When I woke I could hardly swallow. I went into the bathroom, turned on the light, looked in the mirror at my throat and found it to be extremely red, very swollen and covered in white spots. In my experience this was definitely strep throat. I showed my husbandand began to cry, saying, “I can’t be sick today. I have to bake a cake, throw a party and celebrate with Carsten.” My husband put his hand on my throat and began to pray. After he left for work I continued to pray, “God please, I know you hear me and I know you have the power. Just for today, please Lord get me through today. Let me feel better just for my son’s birthday.” About one half hour later I swallowed and realized it didn’t hurt so badly. I went back into the bathroom, turned on the light, looked at my throat and the white spots were gone! “Wow!” I thought “God is amazing.” I know I’m not alone in thinking that some things are to small or unimportant for God, but I’m here to testify God does not agree. He wants it all, the good, the bad, the big and small. Always take the time to lift it up to the Lord and have faith that he hears you and cares. His love is unfailing. Leukemia gone!

Savanah was suffering from leukemia, yet was always a trooper as she went through the “chemo”and marrow transplant. She always radiated a positive attitude and even encouraged her mother Charity. After a few years going in and out of remission, with the doctors saying the marrow transplant was not working, Savanah began to tire and was starting to give up. It was at this time, in January, that Charity was encouraged to bring Savanah to the Lighthouse for prayer. When she did, Jesus healed Savanah. The doctors reported that all traces of Leukemia were gone from her body. Praise the Lord! (Testimony from Fall 2007 newsletter)

A Hand Healed

In the spring of 2000, I had been experiencing severe pain in my right hand. My company sent me to an orthopedic surgeon to examine my hand. He told me that the cartilage in my wrist had been severely worn down. 22 years in the machine trade had taken it's toll. At that moment I was 35% disabled. The doctor told me it would only continue to deteriorate. Surgery could help take away some of the pain but the cartilage would never grow back. I never got the surgery.

Over the years the hand got worse. The more I used it, the more the pain. I accepted this as my "thorn in the flesh". In February of 2006, Darrel Stott visited the Lighthouse. During a time of prayer, I stepped forward at the urging of Virginia. I joined hands with my son David and received prayer. I sensed nothing ... I felt nothing. I decided that the important thing was that I had submitted myself to the ministrations of God in obedience.

In the next few days, I had done a considerable amount of piano playing. This would usually have caused extensive pain in my right hand. Strangely enough, there was none! On Sunday, I acknowledged to the congregation what had happened. The only conclusion I could draw was that God had touched my hand, without sensation, without fanfare. He took away my pain! Thank you, Lord!

“To the Miracle Church”

Gail traveled all the way from Sunview Drive in Carson City, Nevada to the meetings at The Lighthouse with Todd Bentley and Fresh Fire Ministries. She arrived early in the week and was set for a blessed time in the Lord and with other believers for the series of meetings that were being held. Gail asked if she could stay on the church grounds and be allowed to sleep in her truck rather than attempt to secure lodging. After some thought Lighthouse agreed that she could stay in our parking lot. Gail was seen here and there amongst the 500+ people we saw every night for the meetings.

At the end of the week, early Sunday morning she was packing up her truck and cleaning up when she asked Pastor Kelly how to get to Hwy. 80 from Rincon Valley. Kelly gave directions and asked how the meetings had gone. Gail said she loved the meetings, but she did not get the healing she had hoped for, as she suffered with double carpel tunnel affecting both her hands. Kelly said after the Lighthouse service that morning prayer teams would pray for people and encouraged her to stay. Kelly also said that the prayer team would ask the Holy Spirit how to pray, suggesting that perhaps some other issue may be allowing the injuries to hang on. Gail had been praying earlier that morning that if she was supposed to stay that she’d be invited, so when Kelly extended the invitation that was all she needed. After we had our service, the prayer team did minister to Gail. Then she made her way towards Hwy. 80 and Carson City.

One week later The Lighthouse received a letter from Carson City Nevada it was addressed to the “Miracle Church”. When we opened it up it said the following:“The Holy Spirit came through the prayer team into me and healed my carpel tunnel (both arms) - broke my addictions - gave me back the joy I had thrown away. I will be faithful to Jesus through the ‘Miracle Church’”. With the note was a check and a thank you! The fact that Gail called The Lighthouse “The Miracle Church” confirmed what visiting minister David Tomberlin had prophesied, “People will be saying this church is where the Miracles happen”.

We thank God that we can point people to Him and not only tell of His mercies but as we call on Him see Him come through on behalf of those with needs!
